FAQ

what is freeze-drying?

Freeze drying is a process of removing water from a substance while it’s frozen. First, the substance is frozen at a very low temperature, then put in a vacuum and heated. This causes the frozen water to turn into vapor and evaporate. Once all the water is removed, the substance is packaged in airtight containers. This process is used to preserve foods, drugs, and biological samples for a long time. In our case, we make our ice cream, flash freeze it, run it through the freeze-dry process, and then put it in an airtight bag with an oxygen absorber to help protect it.
